NEWSLETTER SEASON 2007/2008 ISSUE 2 This Newsletter includes matters arising from the Management Meeting held on Monday 15th October 2007 at Taunton Town FC. 1 Chartered Standard We are pleased to announce that our league won the Somerset FA Umbro challenge awarded to the league that attained the most Clubs who have obtained Chartered Standard over the period of the challenge. We were awarded £250 worth of Umbro kit. Congratulations to Wyvern, Locomotives, White Hart Rangers, Hulan, Taverners, Swallowfield, Sampford Blues, Staplegrove all of which have achieved the Standard. It is now up to the rest of you Clubs to take up the Gauntlet and apply. Nick Stilton has drafted all the Documents on line on our website for you to print off and apply. There is no cost to the Club other then the cost of a first aid course at £15 if you have no qualified person. In return you will receive discounts on Umbro Kit and possible grants towards larger projects such as changing room's refurbishments Goalpost etc. Please call 2.Handbook I have circulated amendments 2 by email. If there are any further changes please let me know. 3 Treasurer's Report. Income£5479.50 Expenditure £3934.58 4. Referee's Report. 137 games played 11 Club Referee's 7 Games not played because of no Referee Somerset FA are short of 120 Referees compared to last season so please look after our men in BLACK. 5. Registrations. 1218 players registered. 13 transfer's 3 reinstatements. EGM Following on from the AGM where we discussed the possible
restructuring of our League for Season 2008/2009 and we conveyed to you the
Clubs at that meeting that we would call a EGM in January to discuss this matter
and vote on the Managements proposals. The meeting has been booked for January
23rd at Planned proposals will be sent out with the AGENDA prior to the meeting. Remember that all Clubs must attend as this is a League requirement and any Club not attending will be fined £20.This is also a big decision to take and all Clubs need to agree with the proposals that are being made.
